Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026 · Applies to optimizingroi.com and the Optimizing ROI sign-in text messages

This policy explains what information The Virginia Seed Company LLC ("Virginia Seed Co.", "we", "us") collects through the Optimizing ROI customer site at optimizingroi.com and its sign-in text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details. Your MyPAS ID, the name of your farm or business, your mobile phone number, your email address and, if you give it, a contact name. Our staff enter these when they set up your account with your agreement.
• Your field and crop information. The results of your Optimizing ROI program: enrolled field boundaries and locations, field assessment visits, tissue and soil test results, grain lab results, seeding information, and the weather, soil and water estimates we calculate for your fields.
• Sign-in and security records. When you sign in we record the time, whether a code was sent and accepted, and basic device information such as your browser type and IP address. We use these to keep your account secure and to stop misuse.
• A sign-in cookie. After you sign in, your browser stores one cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for the site to work and is not used for advertising or tracking. Our hosting provider may also set security cookies.

How we use it

• To show you your own field results and nothing else.
• To text you a one-time code each time you sign in, and occasional account messages such as a welcome message with sign-in steps.
• To email you about your account when needed.
• To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
• To support the agronomy advice your Virginia Seed Co. representative gives you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use the site to show you advertising.

Text messages and your mobile number

We use your mobile number only to send sign-in codes and account messages for the Optimizing ROI site. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. If you stop texts, you won't be able to receive sign-in codes; contact your Virginia Seed Co. representative to set up sign-in another way. See our Terms for full text messaging terms.

Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run the site, under agreements that limit their use of it to providing their service to us:

• Twilio, which sends the sign-in text messages.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores account and sign-in records.
• Esri (ArcGIS Online), where field boundaries and assessment records are kept.
• Google, where we store program reports and lab results, and which supplies the site's fonts.

Weather is looked up by field location only; no personal information is sent with it. The field map loads satellite imagery from Esri, which receives your browser's standard request information.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details and field results while you take part in the Optimizing ROI program and for 5 years afterwards, so we can compare seasons. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days at most. Sign-in and security records are kept for 12 months.

Keeping it secure

The site uses encrypted connections. Sign-in codes are single-use and expire after 10 minutes, attempts are limited, and each account can see only its own customer's results. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't share your sign-in codes with anyone.

Your choices

• Ask your representative or contact us to see, correct or update your account details.
• Ask us to close your account. We'll stop texting you and remove your sign-in; program records we need to keep for business purposes may be retained as described above.
• Reply STOP to stop text messages.

Children

The site is for farm businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you about significant changes.
